Dosti Kya Hai ???

Dosti pehli baarish ki boondon mein hai
Dosti khilte phoolon ki khushboo mein hai
Dosti dhalte suraj ki kirnon mein hai

Dosti har naye din ki umeed hai
Dosti khwaab hai, dosti jeet hai

Dosti pyar hai, dosti geet hai
Dosti do jahanon ka sangeet hai

Dosti guroor hai, dosti ibadat hai, dosti vishwas hai
Dosti do dilon ke beech panapta ehsaas hai

Dosti har khushi, dosti zindagi
Dosti roshni, dosti bandagi hai

Dosti sang chalti hawaon mein hai
Dosti in barasti ghataon mein hai

Dosti doston ki wafaon mein hai

Haath utha kar jo maangi hai dua
Dosti ka asar un duaon mein hai

I feel so complete with you,
I never wanna let you go !!!

If, one day..........!!!

If one day you feel like crying ……… call me

I don’t promise that I will make you laugh.
But I can cry with you.

If one day you want to run away,
Don’t be afraid to call me.
I don’t promise to ask you to stop
But I can run with you.

If one day, you don’t want to listen to anybody …….. call me.
I promise to be very quiet.

But if one day you call and…..
And there is no answer

Come fast to see me
" perhaps I need you "

Our Togetherness

I won't last for long, My writing skills won't last either

Neither will I be present tomorrow nor this stupid blogging of mine

So many people came and went before me
Some were lucky while others just witnessed their hard fate

They too belonged to some moment of time as I am today

I shall also be leaving some day, though today I am a part of you

Many others will even come, in near times, to pluck up the sprouting petals off your good times

Many of them will be much better than I am, much better than I was rather
Only a bit of me will be remembered then, but why??

This so much busy world out there, why will anybody waste their important time

I will not last for long nor will remain any of my marks behind

Whatever I am today, you have made out of me
Once you leave, I shall also be left with nothing of my own
Thanks for being in my life, teaching me so many things

Now left with just a small time, I would like to live and enjoy its every single moment because I will be dead at once, once this time of our togetherness gets over, like I was, before I had met you

Don't know shall I have grudge against God for such a short time or be happy for atleast this much

But I'll definitely pray if this life could be a bit more longer

Something is Missing

Everyday I live, Everyday I die
Everyday

Holding your finger, I walk all through the day
By you being alongside, I leave home and reach back everyday

I am not away from you even for a single moment
Everyday and night, only with you, only u, all around

Everyday, everyday I live, Everyday I die

Everyday I observe this world through your eyes
As you would like, the same way I strive to be

Your memories also move close with me like you did

Every instance, in your talks, the useless talks
I am lost within myself, everyday, yes Everytime

Everytime I sing something, you are remembered
Everytime I wear something, you are remembered
Everytime I go somewhere, you are remembered
Everytime I loose something, you are remembered
Everytime I achieve something, you are remembered

Everyday I walk now, on your memories through this journey called Life
With you is brighter,
With you is alive,
This very town called MY Heart

Everyday Everyday

***
Everyday, I feel you a bit more closer to me,
The very next moment, I feel you getting away from me.
I find myself stuck in between,
Just like a damaged fighter plane in mid air,
I request you to take the role of the pilot in my life,
And guide me about my Fate

I certainly miss those late night chats

Confidence......!!!

One of the few things in this world that money can't purchase is Confidence. But do we really seem to buy it or its something within our mindset? Let's try to find out.

When do we feel confident and why do we feel so?
We feel confident when we have something that others don't have and that because we have a sense of security about that particular possessing. We might also feel a bit extra confident once the surrounding environment is also pleasant.
A good confidence level makes us feel more comfortable everywhere.

What is Confidence?
Ask a sis how she feels while tying the Rakhi to her brother.
Ask a child how he or she feels with the parents being around.
Ask a widow how she felt when her husband was alive.
Ask the Nation how It feels when there is no Defense at the borders.
Ask any HIM how much stronger HE becomes when his SHE holds his hand.
How confident are my pigeons when they wander around me, even when I am empty handed......!!

We can't describe Confidence, we can only feel it. In short, there must be a reason to be confident about. How can I feel so when I know nothing is in my hands? Yes, one can be confident about things that don't exist actually because if they existed, there should be some unpredictability factor associated and how can a person believe in such nature?

***
Hey, dont dare to be more confident than I m with u being along. U r my over confidence and i m proud of that.
With U, I m the King
Without U, I m only a Singh
and I can't imagine myself without u anymore now.
I wont ask you to turn this Singh into a King but I'll make that happen, that's my promise. Just wait for my height of confidence now.
Ni tu Jatt di pasand,
Jatt ne wihauni ah

Finally, all the Struggles come to an End !!!

Witnessed a very strange day today. A day full of sad events.
A classmate of mine lost her dad today. An architect by profession, who must have dreamt so much for his family. The daughter about to pass out as an engineer, the son also admitted to the same college just four months back.

Were all the responsibilities over for the dad or was still left with something? In these 2.5 years of study, being away from home, the daughter never used a cell phone, what was the logic behind her father's wish of buying her a cell phone just before two months of his death? Was it that the children don't feel alone at this sad moment, that they could easily be provided the shoulders of their classmates at this hard time of their life?

So many questions left unanswered yet very clear.

Oh God, what kind of a justice is this,
"Jab insaan ki jeene ki tamanna jagti hai, to fir usi samay use mukti dene ka kya matlab?"

Another incident of the same day, a shop owner had a similar fate and all the shops of the market were closed today. What do the other shop keepers achieve? Closed for a single day or for a maximum of two, what thereafter? Only the family members have to bear the loss.

A yet another incident wherein a well-to-do person was being carried upon the shoulders of some 5-6 labourers due to some illness, but there was no family member to share the grief with.

A True Request

Je Tu Akhiyan De Samne Nai Rehna

Writing from Goa Today

Looking outside the window today,
I am able to see the ocean today,
Just water all over the place,
Filling up every corner of the world today.

The Sun coming down to meet the beach,
The whole Nature seems blushing today with the colour of pink,
Songs all over the place, the shores whistling endlessly today,
The tender breeze soothing the pains, what a lovely romantic scene today.

A busy schedule, a meeting today,
A visit to beach, a market today,
They call it as mere enjoyment, a lot of masti and cool play,
They call it as a never get back opportunity.

Now, some are busy chatting with their loved ones,
A few talking to their parents today,
With bottles of fenny all over the place today,
But me, as always, sitting aside-alone, observing the Nature today.

Enjoyment means a lot for those who want to enjoy,
There must be a reason to enjoy today,
I wonder how they could enjoy by cheating their parents & loved ones,
But still, they call this as enjoyment today.

I wish I could also understand the meaning of joy,
I wish I could also have a reason to enjoy today,
But I guess it is not meant for what I am today,
It is something that is not created for me today.

My first ever trip by air yesterday,
My longest ever journey by train tomorrow,
A great achievement at Microsoft today,
But still, no such reason to enjoy today.

Enjoyment is something you cherish with the loved ones,
It is something you get by serving people in need,
It is something you get by being with your family,
It is something that I cant explain but am missing it a lot today.

Har subha ke baad shaam hoti hai,Har dawa ke saath dua hoti hai,
Kal ki shaam bhi ek nayi shaam hogi,is khoobsurat jagah se widayi ki shaam hogi,
Wapis apni usi jagah par,
Samundar ki gehraayion se kaafi door, Pahadi vaadiyon ke aanchal mein,
Jahan aur to kuch nahi par meri enjoyment hogi.

Zindgi 4 dinon ka khel hai doston,
2 nikal gaye, 2 din aaram se jee lo,
Ye waqt dobara nahi milne wala,
Kuch aisa kar jao ke kabhi kaash na kehna pade.

***I wish you were here today***

No, I cant leave you now, at any cost

I never expected myself writing this post but some well experienced aspects of life plus some beautiful, well hit words by the one I value the most in my life forced me to change my mind and here I am.

Can we ask an ocean to return some particular water droplets ?
Can we ask a honeybee to return the nectar from a particular flower ?
Can we ask a paper to return the ink marked over it ?
Can we ask a spider to set free a fly caught in its web ?
Can we ask our brain to forget the ABCD...Z ?
Can we ask a leather belt to turn back to skin ?
Can a fish propose a bird, or vice versa, for marriage ?

In a similar fashion, we can never bring back any particular day of life.

Days come and go by. Everyday is not the same always.
Life is nothing without struggle. Its like a cricket match which everyone of us is familiar with. Both the playing teams know that either of them will have to loose, they are prepared for the outcome, but still they play and try hard to win.
Then, how could a person like me lose hope? Why so much of negative thoughts wandering nearby, why, why ??? I could find no answer.

But ya, a feeling of insecurity or rather a ghost with the name of INSECURITY had caught me under its influence. But insecurity about what ? Was it about a sense of loosing something, something extremely close ?
Yes I guess, but soon I realised :

What did I bring with myself at birth ?
I had never expected whatever I am today.
I was scheduled to burn myself in the hotness of the Shivnagri Nalagarh.
But now, here I am, sitting with a sweater on, in the Queen of Hills, back home.

Whatever I expected in my life, I could never achieve that, maybe because that was not meant for me at all.

Today, I am considered as the most lucky person by one and all (even though the same people are damn jealous).
Today, I am being specially told by my well-wishers------
"Veer ji, tuhadi wajah naal Punjabiyan di vi kadar hon lag payi is University ch"

Then I was also told my my insecurity factor not to be insecure, only then I could realise how big a fool I were about to act so negatively. I know, I have nothing to loose now.

Are yaar, by God's grace, I dont have any bad addictions, no bad company or any such interest nor any grudges against anyone inside my heart, most of the times, I am seen wandering around places of worship, my God always listens to my prayers even before I pray. All credit to Him for everything I am.

Such beautiful friends and great things I have on my part today that I could be the happiest person. Please God, save me and our friendship from all sorts of bad eyes, I devote everything to You.

***Je laayi yaari, mul modna paina,
Tu agge lang gaya, tenu fark ni paina,
Main picche hat gaya, mera kakh ni rehna***

How could I forget that I belong to the community where there is no place for any sort of insecurity.

***Chidiyaan naal je baaz ladawan,
Taan hi Guru Gobind Singh Naam dharawaan***

I am ready for everything now, bas meri rakheyo laaj Gurudev.

Go Away & Enjoy your Life

There is a storm in my heart
It tears my inside apart
I am bleeding and I am hurt
Like a wingless little bird

Then it turns dark
And for a moment I see
The pain that was inside of me
And on a journey I embark

In search of answers
In search of truth
In search of understanding
In search of you

My guiding star in darkness
Like a little stream in the desert
Everything about you seems flawless
But that is what causes the hurt

Your perfect features do not belong to me
You do not deserve my chains
You need to live and see
What it means to be free

So spread your wings and fly away
For I can not fulfill your dream
But if you should fall one day
I'll guide you and be that little stream

So go and discover it all
And know that wherever you go
Whatever you do and might feel
The only thing you need to do is call

Expectations & Compromise

"Experience is the greatest of all Teachers"
Life provides us with unthinkable situations that we never dreamed of, ever.
Its like a dream, where you find yourself in circumstances that you have never even thought of, at places that you have never even seen or been to.

Only life is the one that teaches you everything. Your parents can only pay your fees at schools, the teachers can only make you hold the pen & paper properly, but its all in your hands what you wana make out of that.

Its like the case of a matchstick that can be used to lit up candles symbolizing the ray of HOPE and even pyres are set ablaze with the same.

"God is the best player of our Life"
He knows about all of our needs. He provides us with opportunities to do all things in life either good or bad. Its in our own hands to grasp or loose them. In the end, we can never blame Him.

"Dream it, Deserve it & Achieve it"
All of us dream about our desires to be achieved but we forget to first being able to deserve them. God never wants His children to get pampered. I think He follows the Chinese proverb:

"Give your child a fish & you feed him for a day,

Teach him fishing & you prepare him to feed himself for the whole life"

If you ask something from God & He fulfills your desires at the same time, who will worship Him then? Every damn thing in this world has its own value but it needs to be realized.

"Dream, Desire & Responsibility"
You dream of something and you desire something else, is it so? If yes, you will never achieve it, until or unless your dream and desire are one & the same.

But unfortunately, most of the times when these both get together, a third concept also arises like a villain in a romantic love story, by the name of Responsibility.

Your responsibility towards your parents who are the ones who made you capable of dreaming & desiring, towards your profession for whose sake your parents did everything they could, towards your well-wishers who want to see you succeed in every sphere of life.

"The Climax"
As there are so many expectations from you by so many people. Since you are also bound to them, if you know that you cant handle all your dreams, desires & responsibilities in a single hand, then the most difficult concept of life arises. I even fear of naming it as its a very simple word to be mentioned of but extremely hard to be followed but I'll have to mention it here as no one can escape reality, its COMPROMISE.
Compromise with your dreams, your own desires, your own friends but most importantly, compromise with your own self.

How can you compromise with the one you love more than yourself, that too for your parents or well-wishers whom you know very well, will not be there with you for your whole lifetime?

I mentioned it as most difficult because my eyes got full of tears while only writing the previous line.

Ironically, last night, while going through two of my syllabus books, one by an Indian & the other by a foreign author, I noticed that the Indian dedicated his work to his parents while the foreigner, to his love.

I could understand that Indians are the most responsible people, they dont love their own selves & their families, they dont fall in love rather they are not supposed to do so, they are the best while compromising, the foreigners are not responsible, they dont care for their parents and they never compromise.

I am ready to compromise if my God promises that my parents will remain with me all through my lifetime & die after me and I really wish this comes out to be true.

Am I correct in my understanding and my decision, please let me know?
Also, cant all of our dream, desire & responsibility go hand in hand?

But before concluding, I dedicate this content & even my everything else (either on or away from this blog) to the one I love even more than my hearts content.

A Beautiful Song

Kithe lukiyan,

Galan si ye an kahiyan
Tenu wekhke, tenu wekhke
Aj e na jaan rokiyan

Shayad mai, chup hi rehnda
Dooron wekhda, kujh na kehnda

Mai boleya, tenu chadega bukhaar
Mai boleya, tenu aandi meri yaad
Mai boleya, teri jib te mera swaal

Sirf tenu aj e pata nahi,
Sirf tenu aj e pata nahi

I would like to be...............

I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to
lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.

I don't Express Myself..........................huh !!!!!!!!!

How shall i tell, what do i feel about u

How shall i tell, how much i care for u
How shall i tell, how much i like u
How shall i tell, how much i need u
How shall i tell, how much i am concerned about u
How shall i tell, that everyone else now seems to be a sister
How shall i tell, how i feel when u talk about someone else
How shall i tell, how it feels to see u with someone else
How shall i tell how much i miss u when u are not nearby

How shall i tell how much it pains to say u Bye !
How shall i tell, that i always want to be with u
How shall i tell, how much i missed u until u entered my life, heart & soul, why were u so late ?

How shall i tell, that my day is incomplete without a look of urs
How shall i tell, how much i like listening to u (that too, unnecessarily)
How shall i tell, that a single look of urs is even more intoxicating than the strongest of all wines

How shall i tell, that i badly needed someone to talk to,
to listen to,
to trust upon,
to tell me whats right or wrong,
to quarrel with,
to spend my time with,
to share my sorrows,
to multiply my joys,
to make me laugh, :-)
to make me tense,
to make me confident,
to point out my short-comings,
to tell me what actually i am and what could i be,
to be in company when i am left alone, :-(
to make me feel that i am not useless,
to leap upon & hold my hand to walk me through all the troubles

How shall i tell, that now i cant live without u
How shall i tell, that rest of the world is now meaningless to me
How shall i tell, how much i love u

The world can see the differences in me since i met u
I know that its all because of u & u too are aware

It is also not so, that u dont like me
But i m afraid to ask u,
Not because of fear of rejection but fear of loosing u

I never asked u if u also feel the same,
Actually, I can live with the assumption that u also love me,
But a NO will certainly kill me

I have many questions inside me :

Kahin tum naraz to nahi ho jaogi ?
Kahin tum mujhe galat na samjho ?
Kahin mai tumhari dosti bhi na kho du ?
Do u also feel the same for me ?
You will find many better options in life, am I the right candidate for u ?
Kahin tum kisi aur se ...........?
Will u be happy with me ?
Can ur dreams be fulfilled by me or not ?

Now that I have cleared my thoughts for her,
I acclaim my love on the World Wide Web.
Hopefully, this will be achieved in front of her as well.

Wish me luck !!

Reason behind the Success of Infosys (Women Power)

The article has actually been written by Sudha Murthy, wife of the Infosys Chairman
It was in Pune that I met Narayan Murty through my friend Prasanna (Wipro chief), who was also training in Telco with me. Murty was shy, bespectacled and an introvert. When he invited us for dinner. I was a bit taken aback as I thought the young man was making a very fast move.
I refused since I was the only girl in the group. The next day I went there at 7 since I had to go to the tailor near the hotel. And what do I see? Mr. Murty waiting in front of the hotel.
Soon, we became friends. Our conversations were filled with Murty’s experiences abroad and the books that he has read. My friends insisted that Murty is trying to impress me because he was interested in me. I kept denying it till one fine day, after dinner Murty said, I want to tell you something. I knew this as it was coming. He said,

"I am 5′4″ tall. I come from a lower middle class family. I can never become rich in my life and I can never give you any riches. You are beautiful, bright and intelligent and you can get anyone you want. But will you marry me?"

I asked Murty to give me some time for an answer. My father didn’t want me to marry a wannabe politician who didn’t have a steady job and wanted to build an orphanage. When I went to Hubli I told my parents about Murty and his proposal. My mother was positive since Murty was also from Karnataka, seemed intelligent and comes from a good family. But my father asked: What’s his job, his salary, his qualifications etc? Murty was working as a research assistant and was earning less than me. My parents agreed to meet Murty in Pune on a particular day at 10 am sharp. Murty did not turn up. How can I trust a man to take care of my daughter if he cannot keep an appointment, asked my father.

At 12, Murty turned up in a bright red shirt! He had gone on work to Bombay, was stuck in a traffic jam so he hired a taxi (though it was very expensive) to meet his would-be father-in-law. But father was unimpressed. My father asked him what he wanted to become in life. Murty said he wanted to become a politician in the communist party and wanted to open an orphanage. My father gave his verdict. "NO, I don’t want my daughter to marry somebody who wants to become a communist and then open an orphanage when he himself didn’t have money to support his family."

Ironically, today, I have opened many orphanages something, which Murty wanted to do 25 years ago. By this time I realized I had developed a liking towards Murty which could only be termed as love. I wanted to marry Murty because he is an honest man. He proposed to me highlighting the negatives in his life. I promised my father that I will not marry Murty without his blessings though at the same time, I cannot marry anybody else. My father said he would agree if Murty promised to take up a steady job. But Murty refused saying he will not do things in life because somebody wanted him to. So, I was caught between the two most important people in my life. The stalemate continued for three years during which our courtship took us to every restaurant and cinema hall in Pune. In those days, Murty was always broke. Moreover, he didn’t earn much to manage.
Ironically today, he manages Infosys Technologies Ltd., one of the world’s most reputed companies. He always owed me money. We used to go for dinner and he would say,

"I don’t have money with me, you pay my share, I will return it to you later."

For 3 years, I maintained a book on Murty’s debt to me. No, he never returned the money and I finally tore it up after my wedding. The amount was a little over Rs 4000. During this interim period, Murty quit his job as research assistant and started his own software business. Now, I had to pay his salary too! Towards the late 70s computers were entering India in a big way.

During the end of 1977, Murty decided to take up a job as General Manager at Patni Computers in Bombay. But before he joined the company he wanted to marry me since he was to go on training to the US after joining. My father gave in as he was happy Murty had a decent job, now. We were married in his house with only our two families present. The expenses came to Rs 800. I went to the US with Murty after marriage. Murty encouraged me to see America on my own because I loved travelling.

In 1981, Murty wanted to start Infy. He had a vision but zero capital. Initially I was very apprehensive about Murty getting into business. We did not have any business background .. Moreover we were living a comfortable life in Bombay with a regular pay check and I didn’t want to rock the boat. But Murty was passionate about creating good quality software. I decided to support him. Typical of Murty, he just had a dream and no money. So I gave him Rs 10,000 which I had saved for a rainy day, without his knowledge and told him,"This is all I have, take it. I give you three years sabbatical leave. I will take care of the financial needs of our house. You go and chase your dreams without any worry. But you have only three years!"

Murty and his 6 colleagues started Infosys in 1981,with enormous interest and hard work. In 1982, I left Telco and moved to Pune with Murty. We bought a small house on loan which also became the Infosys office. I was a clerk-cum-cook-cum-programmer. I also took up a job as Senior Systems Analyst with Walchand group of Industries to support the house.

In 1983, Infosys got their first client, MICO, in Bangalore. Murty moved to Bangalore and stayed with his mother while I went to Hubli to deliver my second child, Rohan. Ten days after my son was born, Murty left for the US on project work. I saw him only after a year, as I was unable to join Murty in the US because my son had infantile eczema, an allergy to vaccinations. So for more than a year I did not step outside our home for fear of my son contracting an infection. It was only after Rohan got all his vaccinations that I came to Bangalore where we rented a small house in Jayanagar and rented another house as Infosys headquarters. My father presented Murty a scooter to commute. I once again became a cook, programmer, clerk, secretary, office assistant et al. Nandan Nilekani (MD of Infosys) and his wife Rohini stayed with us. While Rohini babysat my son, I wrote programs for Infosys.

There was no car, no phone, and just two kids and a bunch of us working hard, juggling our lives and having fun while Infosys was taking shape. It was not only me but also the wives of other partners too who gave their unstinted support. We all knew that our men were trying to build something good.

It was like a big joint family, taking care and looking out for one another. Murty made it very clear that it would either be me or him working at Infosys. Never the two of us together… I was involved with Infosys initially.

Nandan Nilekani suggested I should be on the Board but Murty said he did not want a husband and wife team at Infosys. I was shocked since I had the relevant experience and technical qualifications. He said, Sudha if you want to work with Infosys, I will withdraw, happily. I was pained to know that I will not be involved in the company my husband was building and that I would have to give up a job that I am qualified to do and love doing.

It took me a couple of days to grasp the reason behind Murty’s request. I realized that to make Infosys a success one had to give one’s 100 percent. One had to be focussed on it alone with no other distractions. If the two of us had to give 100 percent to Infosys then what would happen to our home and our children? One of us had to take care of our home while the other took care of Infosys.
I opted to be a homemaker, after all Infosys was Murty’s dream. It was a big sacrificebut it was one that had to be made. Even today, Murty says,

"Sudha, I stepped on your career to make mine, really, you are responsible for my success."

I am Sorry

Sorry if I keep on hurting you
Sorry if you don't like the things that I say or do
Sorry if with you I always put up a fight
Sorry I just can't do anything right

Sorry if I'm way far from being an angel
Sorry if you think my excuses are lies
Sorry if it's so difficult quiting my vice

Sorry if I'm not too understanding
Sorry for all the headaches and pain I bring
Sorry if often it's hard for me to swallow my attitude towards life

Sorry if I'm so complicated
Sorry I keep making you feel frustrated
Sorry I can't bring back the tears
Sorry if I keep you away from your peers

Sorry if I always complain about your bad habits
Sorry if I seem like a joke to you
Sorry if I don't appreciate all those sweet things that you do

Sorry if I keep on repeating the same mistakes
Sorry I say stupid things and can't find the courage to tell about whats inside my heart

Sorry if I screw up trying to be perfect for you
Sorry I could never be the guy who's right for you
Sorry if I'm such an awful friend
Sorry if...I can't even be your best friend

! SORRY for not being with you even when you invited !

Jab We Met

I feel like I've known you forever

Although I only met you sometime this past year
But our friendship will remain forever
No matter what shall cross our paths and hearts

The best thing that's happened to me
Is finding a forever friend like you
You're there to listen, help, and talk to
And best of all, I know I can confide in you

Some say the best love is one sprung from friendship
So I feel this is why we should try
Time leads us in this direction
Should we follow on down the line?

Friendship and love are always intertwined
Too close which sometimes causes confusion
But if we don't try, we will never know if it was meant to be
But forever you will remain my friend

I don't know if this is going to work
I'm not totally sure we should try
But I have all these mixed feelings
Bottled up inside

I love you both inside and out as my best friend
And I know that you love me that way too
So when I say "best friends forever"
That even means when I'm saying "Don't worry, I love you, too".
!!!! I REALLY DO !!!!
